-Raises from the Grave-

Hello world. Yes, it’s been a while. Short version? Not dead.

Longer version? School has kept me busy. Luckily, although I have neglected this blog, I have been diligent with my constant drawing. I’ve picked out of few of my best to show you lovely folks today.

ONWARD!

Cadet Taylor from the mobile game “Lifeline.” That game is amazing and I recommend all of you to play if you’ve not already. Another noteworthy feature of this little scribble: It’s FULLY digital! That’s right, folks. I drew something on the computer and it actually looks pretty okay!
(That’s saying a lot considering I’m lazy and I usually leave my traditional sketches messy and rarely color them in).

Lots of doodles of the Hitman Hound, whom I’ve dubbed “Jeanne.” Notice how when I get too lazy to draw clothes, I depict her in a skin-tight leotard. How convenient! Unfortunately, my interest for this lovely lady has waned significantly. I’m thinking of scrapping her and her story…
Not much else to say. I’ve been trying out a more detailed style. And yes, I quoted Frozen. Sue me.

I watched Zootopia when it came out. It was amazing. Seriously, is this movie even by Disney? The feels. The story. NICK WILDE!
I also had to try my hand at humanizing them. Scruffy Nick. I don’t picture Judy in pigtails, unlike most of the Internet. She seems like the pixie-haircut kind of gal to me.

Holiday Countdown~Day: 14, 15

Well, that fell apart quick.

Happy 2016, everybody. Best wishes for this shiny brand new year. Let’s make it a successful and productive 365 days, because after all, time is money!

By the way, anyone excited for the premiere of BBC Sherlock, The Abominable Bride? Because I sure am!

Holiday Countdown~Day: 11, 12, 13 (Sketch pages)

A cat. A generic,white, princess-y cat. I’ll bet her name is Lulu or something. Lady Lulu Meowsa de Purr III.

Salukies, once again. I adore their silky, floppy ears, just a-begging for a nice do! I may have went a little overboard (giant braids ahhh) but it was a fun concept.

Okay, okay. Technically, we still have 5 days until the New Year. But hey, it’s just around the corner.

Old year. New year. One must wonder what the future has in store…

And be a little hesitant to relinquish the present.

The sun peeks through
A crack in the
Flowered curtains…

The cat blinks
A greeting,
Then turns away…

A yawn,

Hands rubbing eyes…

The clatter of plates
Conversation
Laughter…

A lull as
The end of the stairs
Draw near…

Holiday Countdown~Day: 6 “Jingle Jingle”

Tried a slightly more geometric style. Not my forte.

Reindeer are terribly majestic and I must learn to draw them better.

Holiday Countdown~Day: 5 “Scarf”

Why, ‘pon my word. The Captain is smiling! What sort of alternate universe is this?!

I revisited the scarf from day 4. I’ll leave it up to you to decide how tacky it must look with his dreary old coat.

Holiday Countdown~Day: 4 Pixel Icons

Gif made everything fuzzy.

A really choppily-animated icon of the Captain. He has abandoned his usual red scarf for something a little more festive.

I tried adding a background, but the lighthouse was too wonky and turned too fast. Oh well.

Early warning alert: I may not be able to post everyday. I’ll try my best to keep up, and compress everything into one large post or something. Anyways, until later…

Holiday Countdown~Day: 3 “Procrastination”

I was a bit too busy to create anything today, so dug out my doodles done during finals. A literal representation of procrastination I did while procrastinating.

Holiday Countdown~Day: 2 “Bulletproof”

She paused to examine a small gunshot wound that had nicked her forearm.

As if on cue, her phone buzzed. Her client had requested a progress report.

“Target Eliminated,” she typed back. It was a phrase she relished using, for it meant to her money, luxury, status. It meant another shining medal to add to her accomplishments.

“Good work,” her employer replied, “The agreed payment will be wired to your account within the hour.”
A brief pause.

“Watch your back out there,” came the unexpected warning, “You’ve got many enemies. You may be strong or fast or clever, but you ain’t bulletproof.”

How did I ever convince myself to do a lineless drawing by hand? My wrist hurts.
A doodle of the Hitman, plus a small snippet to go with it. I’m still in the process of designing her, so this is by no means what she might look like tomorrow. I’ve tried to mimic the coloration of an Aussie, but I’m afraid I didn’t pull it off too well…

A little dark, I guess. I’ll try for something a little more seasonal next time!
